Dubai to introduce variable Salik Toll Gate Rates, Parking Prices in 2025
You might have noticed Dubai’s rapid growth and development. The need for innovative solutions to manage traffic congestion has become increasingly important. In 2025, the RTA (Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority) announced Variable Dubai Salik Toll Gate Pricing and Variable Parking Tariff Policies.
The new policies aim to enhance traffic flow and alleviate congestion in the city.
Variable Salik Toll Gate Pricing System
The Variable Salik Toll Gate Pricing system, set to launch at the end of January 2025, will offer motorists toll-free passage during the late-night hours of 1 am to 6 am.
During weekday peak hours (6 am to 10 am / 4 pm to 8 pm), the toll will be AED 6.
During weekday off-peak hours (10 am to 4 pm / 8 pm to 1 am), the toll will be reduced to AED 4.
On Sundays, the toll will be AED 4 throughout the day and toll-free during late-night hours.
Variable Parking Tariff Policy
The Variable Parking Tariff Policy, expected to be implemented by the end of March 2025, will introduce parking fees of AED 6 per hour for premium parking spaces and AED 4 per hour for other public paid parking spaces during weekday peak hours (8 am to 10 am / 4 pm to 8 pm).
Parking fees will remain unchanged during off-peak hours and free at night and all day on Sundays.
Congestion Pricing Policy for Event Areas
A Congestion Pricing Policy for event areas will be introduced, with a fee of AED 25 per hour for public paid parking spaces near all the event zones.
This new policy will be implemented around the Dubai World Trade Centre during major events starting in February 2025.
